Are you or your household in need of rent assistance due to COVID-19? Pandemic rent assistance is available for residents of Salt Lake County and Tooele County. To see if you qualify, fill out the application below. After your application has been submitted, our staff will contact you by phone in 1-2 business days.

Case Management and Housing Application

Case Management & Housing assistance administered through UCA can only provide emergency financial assistance for those experiencing a recent housing crisis due to COVID-19. This program includes rent payments for a current place of residence as well as deposit assistance to move into a new residence for those who have been evicted due to a COVID-19 crisis. Applicants must be able to provide documentation of COVID-related crisis.

How to Apply

1. Complete the application below.

Fill out the application below in its entirety, ensuring accuracy for all submitted answers.

2. Schedule an appointment.

An intake specialist will review your application in 1-2 business days and contact you to schedule a phone interview with a UCA housing case manager if eligible. During the phone interview, the case manager will confirm eligibility for COVID or other housing assistance programs, gather any additional documentation needed, and review next steps. If you do not qualify for an appointment with a case manager, an intake specialist will still contact you in 1-2 business days to assess your eligibility for other housing and UCA programs or provide referrals for community resources.

4. Landlord completes documentation.

If approved to receive assistance, a housing case manager will provide you with information for your landlord to complete. 

 

5. Payment assistance mailed.

If approved for assistance, payments will be made within 2 business days. Payments will be made by check and may take several days to arrive depending on your location.
