Head Start Bloom Gala

Our 2019 Bloom Gala was a great success! Thanks to all of our generous, donors, sponsors, and attendees, we were able to raise more than $260,000 towards preparing our Head Start child for Kindergarten and future success. Money raised from the event will go towards:

  • Books, educational supplies, toys, furniture, and building costs;
  • Mental health and social-emotional curriculum for our children;
  • Increase children’s academic achievement by 10% through curriculum and staff development;
  • Support our dual immersion program within our classrooms;
  • Provide a scholarship for a former Head Start student to the University of Utah;
  • Provide health clinics for children to receive medical and dental services; and
  • Provide a healthy nutritious meal to our children who often are malnourished

We hope to see you there next year!

Proceeds benefit Utah Community Action’s Head Start program, which serves over 2,000 children from at-risk background and their families every year. Head Start’s comprehensive curriculum gives children the skills they need to be successful in school and life—supporting more kids, families, and communities on their path to success.
